New York Red Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Interesting conversations in the Supreme Court today. http://www.politico.com/story/2015/04/supreme-court-gay-marriage-arguments-awkward-moments-117444.html Unfortunately the four on the right are digging in and Justice Kennedy is wavering as usual. I just don't understand the need to have religion play a part in marriage. That's what is happening for the right on the Court. If the Catholic church doesn't approve of gay marriage then so be it. Episcopalians are totally cool with it and that is fine. But a government sanctioned marriage needs to be totally secular and available for any consenting couple. This won't be a debate sooner or later and I hope it ends very soon. But I don't get how this is still up for debate among supposedly brilliant legal minds.
