Quick question. I'm about to buy a house.

My solicitor said they will get documentation over to me today R.E Searches and report etc.

However, I've just had a call and I've been asked to come in and sign documents and told we can go over the searches and anything else so we can complete quicker

Now I appreciate I don't have to sign anything I'm not happy to sign, but is this common? I feel a bit rail roaded I'm concerned a document will be put in front of me on Friday (this isn't an exchange of contracts apparently) and I'll be under pressure to sign it, without having looked at the documents over a couple of days. They've not spoken to me longer than 30 seconds during the process and all of a sudden I'm going in on Friday for 30 minutes to go over the documents. This seems a bit naff.

Is this common? Should I be telling my solicitor to piss off or am I being paranoid?
