It's tight in a lot of places. Last night Boro won 1-0 at Norwich to jump from 5th to top with 2 games and to move Norwich down a place to 4th...

Middlesbrough 44 32 84

Bournemouth 43 47 83

Watford 43 38 82

Norwich 44 38 82

Fairly routine run-ins for all of them. At the bottom, Blackpool are long down, 4 wins this season is shocking, Wigan look likely to join them and Millwall (can f*** off out of existence) have a game in hand but are 5 points from safety.

League 1

Bristol City are up, Preston look good odds to join them but the games in hand below them could yet make it interesting

Bristol City 43 50 92

Preston 43 35 83

MK Dons 42 44 79

Swindon 41 23

76

At the bottom it's really tight. Usually 50 & you're safe

16 - Port Vale 44 -10 51

17Coventry 43 -10 51

18 - Sc***horpe 42 -11 51

19 - Crewe 43 -33 48

20 - Leyton Orient 42 -4 47

21 Notts County 42 -13 47

22 Crawley 43 -26 47

23 Colchester 42 -21 44

24 Yeovil 43 -35 37

This is really interesting because so many teams are so tightly packed plus the way the fixtures are -

Colchester have Swindon & Preston (in their 4) so are probably f***ed with Yeovil

Crawley have Notts C & Coventry in their remaining 3 games so they have a big say in this

Notts C have 2 mid-table teams, Crawley (today) and Preston

Leyton O have some tough fix, Sheff U (playoffs) and Swindon

Crewe - who started with something like 7 straight defeats - have Coventry

Coventry have Bristol C, Crewe & Crawley - all massive games for them

Port Vale got a point last night at Preston and their last 2 are vs teams with nothing to play for (Yeovil & Fleetwood)

League 2 isn't that interesting at the top but a 2 from 3 at the bottom

Hartlepool 43 -29 41

Cheltenham 43 -24 40

Tranmere 43 -17 39

Burton 43 26 85

Shrewsbury 43 36 83

Wycombe 43 22 80

Bury 42 17 76

Southend 42 15 75

The Championship has been brilliant this season. 2 games left and nobody has a scooby who's getting promoted.

My local club Burton secured promotion to league 1 yesterday. Incredible feat as only around 12 years ago they were playing at their old ramshackle ground in front of gates of 600 in the Beezer Homes league. They've done it due to sheer hard work, some fantastic managers and a brilliant chairman (not like moneybags fleetwood who bought their way up).

L1 - a bunch of games last night,

Preston won at Notts C - moving Preston into the promotion spots & leaving Notts C in the relegation spots

Rochdale beat Leyton O - keeping Rochdale's very slim playoff chances alive & leaving L.O. in the bottom 4

Way more enjoyment watching this shtuff than LFC right now...

So - Watford up. Bournemouth with 2 to play, Norwich & Boro each with 1; Bournemouth beat Bolton on Monday & they're up - given their GD is +16 on Boro right now.

A last min pen consigned Boro to a 4-3 defeat otherwise they'd now be 2nd & pressure on Bournemouth...

Watford - 88

Bournemouth - 84

Boro - 84

Norwich - 83

Ipswich - 78

Derby - 77

Brentford - 75

Wolves - 75

A late eq away at Millwall for Derby kept them in the playoffs & Millwall in the bottom 3 coupled with a late eq for Rotherham at home to Norwich otherwise Millwall were all but safe.

Rotherham - 42

Millwall - 41

Wigan - 39

Blackpool - about 8

L1 -

Preston & MK Dons both won so that goes to the final day. The rest of the playoffs are done. At the bottom -

Colchester won with an 87m pen at Fleetwood, Leyton O drew 1-1 with Sheff U after leading until 77, Crawley 3-2 up in the 87th min lost 4-3 to Peterboro' to really f*** themselves up because Notts C beat Doncaster 2-1 & Crewe won 3-1 at Coventry. (Colchester have 2 to play, everyone else 1 but those are against Swindon & Preston - 4th & 2nd)

18 - Coventry - 52

19 - Crewe - 52

20 - Notts C - 50

21 - Crawley - 50

22 - Leyton O - 48

23 - Colchester - 48

24 - Yeovil - 40

L2 - it's all late goals in the Football League today

Wycombe lost 1-0 to an 86m goal while Southend won 1-0 from an 81m goal to go third and into an auto promotion spot at Wycombe's expense, Bury won 2-0 to stay 4th.

Burton - 91

Shrewsbury - 89

Southend - 84

Bury - 82

Wycombe - 81

Tranny & Cheltenham down

Championship all-but sorted for promotion, who'd be at Wolves on Sat when Millwall could go down? And as Wolves have to win to have a chance of playoffs they'll go for it.

Whatever happens, the place is getting smashed up

L1 -

Bristol City finished the season with an 8-2 win. MK Dons promoted at Preston's expense as Preston managed to lost to Colchester, a result that kept Colchester up. A 73min equalizer & last min winner for Coventry relegated Crawley & kept Crewe (who lost 1-0 at home to Bradford) safe.

Similarly, Notts C 1-0 up the the 88th min & safe, conceded 3 (88, 90 & 90) to get themselves relegated & keep Crewe safe

L2 -

Bury winning at Tranmere got them promoted because Southend (starting the day in 3rd) lost 3-1 at Morecambe

The end, save for playoffs

I have a little bit of a soft spot for Bournmouth since Ted MacDougal was banging then in for them, plus I liked that green and black striped kit they wore.

Nice town Bournmouth. I'd live there.

I've been to watch Bournemouth a few times over the last couple of seasons. It was only a couple of years ago I watched them get promotion from League 1 at Chesterfield.

Their away fans are a bit of a mixed bunch. All harmless enough if you're with them.
