Dan Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I'd probably go for the same team although there is a case for benching Sturridge, playing Sterling up front and bringing Markovic in. Obvious issue with that would be the form of Markovic though. Real shame Ibe is still out.
Gravy Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Are you mad? Benching our top striker for the biggest game of the season?
Nate. Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I'd probably go for the same team although there is a case for benching Sturridge Except there isn't.
Dan Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Are you mad? Benching our top striker for the biggest game of the season? Worked against City. Just think he's really struggling in this system and looks a lot better when he has someone up top with him - like Balotelli when he comes on. He improved last night as the game went on to be fair and as I say I'd probably go with the same team but he's clearly out of form.
blago Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 In the first half Sturridge was poor, but he improved second half. He's probably the only one of our attacking players who can be described as a clinical finisher. De Gea has been in top form all season and I think we may need Sturridge's finishing on Sunday.
Stevie H Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 they're going to be a bunch of yard dogs this lot. we're going to have to scrap.
Dan Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Except there isn't. What about the one that says we've looked better playing 3-4-3 when he's not on the pitch? I'm sure it will click at some point for him - hopefully Sunday.
Barnesy_10 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 really want to shatter all this talk of the Mancs suddenly being in form and playing great off the back of one good display against a dire Spurs.. 3-0 HendersonCoutinhoPhil Jones OG
Earl Hafler Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Worked against City. Last season, Sterling played mostly wide with Suarez and Sturridge switching - Daniel likes to drop off, take up that inside right channel and cut inside. It's more difficult if no one else is occupying the opposition central defenders and Coutinho isn't that type of player. Might take some time. Coutinho behind Sturridge and Sterling might be better but then we have an issue about right mid / right wingback And our use of width is poor. Moreno's had a few decent games recently but without Ibe, we've lacked width
Dan Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Can needs a big game against Fellaini as well.
Begbie Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Tempted to stick Johnson in for Lallana given I expect them to focus their attacks down our right Not a perfect solution, but feels like we're trying to fit too many attacking players in at the moment
Barnesy_10 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Blind and Young played very well on Sunday so yeah we need to shut them two out Di Maria will be interesting if he plays.... He's been a bit s*** recently aside from an assist or two and I wonder if they stick with the Spurs side.
Chewie Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Migcan skrtl. Sakho Henderson Allen markovich moreno Coutinho Sterling Sturridge Press right up hit em hard
Conrad Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Markovic has done nothing to warrant starting, esp at rwb. Rather see Johnson there. Although I'd go with the same starting XI as last night. There was nothing wrong with it, they just played poorly. will be different at home against the mancs.

Cunny Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 JFW. 6-0 would be nice, that would solve the goal difference problem in relation to the mancs
doug_mac Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 same team as last night please those calling for johnson in the team need their heads examined
Farmer's Tan Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Need to make sure they don't have a spare man in the middle and play around us like Swansea last night in the first half, man for man we will overwhelm them, pressuring them all over the park.
mofus77 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 same team as last night please those calling for johnson in the team need their heads examined Yeah, that's our best side I reckon. We will naturally have more intensity against the mancs and if we can play as well as we did against Cit then we should be in good shape
D.Boon Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Will be watching this with my Manc supporting brother in law and nephew, i'm not sure they're ready for the vitriol and abuse this game generates in me. Need to go careful, my nephew is only 8
