Leslie Howard

My missus is selling a picture signed by Leslie Howard, from the early 1940s. Seems to be attracting a lot of interest and might be quite/very valuable.

 

Anyone know anything about him? I'd never really come across him - interesting story though, and some good conspiracy theories regarding his death.
