RP Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Top quality opposition and convenient travel arrangements. Should set us up to get off to a flyer next season. Hopefully we've a CL qualifier and maybe a couple of meaningless international friendlies thrown into the mix. Still, there's always the usual recovery in the second half of the season to rescue us Edited February 4, 2015 by RP

RP Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Along with the plans for "The Liverpool Football Club" sign on the main stand. Exciting times. Edited February 4, 2015 by RP

mally Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Seems strange to me that we're going back there when we should, in my opinion, be looking to tour China as often as we can.
johngibo YPC Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Seems strange to me that we're going back there when we should, in my opinion, be looking to tour China as often as we can. Depends how many fake kits we want to sell reallyBut the Australia tour always incorporates am Asian stop on the way there and back, so they could go to China if it was deemed beneficial
Hassony Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Seems strange to me that we're going back there when we should, in my opinion, be looking to tour China as often as we can. why China? if you want an emerging footballing market then India might be a better bet or maybe we can whore ourself in Qatar and Dubai
mally Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I just think China is a far, far better bet than India. It's a bigger market and there's no existing field sport like cricket to compete against. Either of these markets or the USA (where Arsenal, Chelsea and United seem to have stolen a march) would be better, in my opinion, than touring Australia again. I've nothing against the aussies but 95,000 in the MCG all in genuine shirts is nothing compared to the amount of people we'd reach with televised games against top Chinese teams. I can't see the middle east working for pre season as its about a billion degrees there at that time.
downunder Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 i think China is happening too. Just not announced yet.Seems strange to me that we're going back there when we should, in my opinion, be looking to tour China as often as we can. ii is different cities though, so 'slightly' different markets

redjersey Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 It will probably be the team in that comp that plays in the Europa assuming we do start on July 30th.The first league matches next season are on August 8th. That's only 9 days after any Europa tie on 30th July. No reason not to play a strong team and use it as a proper League warm up.`
