Barnesy_10 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Woke up to see the side door to my garage (detached and at the end of the garden) was wide open this morning. This often happens as its broken and so I prop it shut with a paving slab and the wind sometimes blows it open.. So I go down and then see the double doors at the back of the garage are wide open... Immediately my heart sinks as my pride and joy motorbike is in there. I leg it out and see that someones clearly tried to steal it but the alarm on it has gone off and the steering lock has stopped them wheeling it away as it was 45 degrees from where I left it. Nothing else seems to have been taken (including the crates of beer keeping cool in there). Police were rang and they just logged it and said nothing could be done and to be vigilant. Now I am looking at getting it secure as they accessed the property and crossed the garden (triggering security light) and waltzed about and fortunately didn't take anything. I am looking at getting an alarm for the garage and been looking at CCTV systems. I am going to stick a 'You are on CCTV' sign up on the garage as a cheap deterrent but does anyone know a good cheap CCTV set up? The motorbike is worth a fair bit of money and would be gutted if it went... though it has an alarm and tracker fitted to it I doubt I would ever get it back as I left it. This all happened in Grassendale last night... so anyone in the area just be vigilant. oh and anyone that knows anyone in Liverpool that supplies external doors would be good too
