I think we can get about 34 points from those, that would put us on 69 points for the season.

 

We need a crackin second have of the season, but is think we genuinely can get into the top four.

Don't see any of the other sides around us improving significantly in the 2nd half of the season whereas we've got arguably the best striker in the league (after Aguero) about to return. Pretty optimistic about our chances although today's result didn't help.

Big problem is that putting aside Chelsea and City (who I expect to be the top 2) we need to improve and then hope that least 3 of the teams above us have a decline. Certainly doable, but it's gonna be tough.

All about next season for me. I don't care if we get top four, in fact its probably better if we don't if we want to make a push for the title. Get the team buzzing, get them settled. See in the summer what really needs fixing and spend the money on that position, 'cause I think we've got the making of an awesome team here.

We are capable of finishing in the top four, but then so are other teams. I think we were 7 points off top 4 when we lost against Man U. We've put a bit of a run together since then, but have closed the gap by, 2 points ?

It's slow progress but if we beat West Ham then I will start to think we are on a mission.

I'm happy with the recent form but looking at the remaining fixtures you can see it will be tough to get into the top four.

 

We need Sturridge to come back in top form and we need to take points off our rivals. It can be done but we're not favourites obviously.

As you mentioned we must concentrate one game at a time, that is the only way we will succeed, but as we are just about half way through the season, I thought it was an interesting topic to chat about. As far as the points, just about opinions. I imagine at the start of the season most of us would have had a target of points we would have liked to see us achieve, those targets will change as each teams season progresses.

We can't sign them after finishing second

 

Key to signing the right players is for FSG to f*** off (or have a a Damascus moment but I'm not holding my breath)

This season, same as last, we're pinning our hopes for a good second half on a combination of momentum, confidence and luck on the injury front
