Sad thing is that none of Borini, Lambert, Balotelli instill any real hope when they come on the pitch. Here we are in Jan, and the 3 of them combined are on the same number of league of goals as Sturridge who has been out since August.

Only thing he's got going for him is more mobility and movement than Lambert or Balotelli. He is fairly intelligent off the ball, but not very good on the ball. Lambert is better on the ball, but really doesn't suit our system. Balotelli unfortunately looks like the gamble that hasn't even remotely paid off.

No idea why Rodgers insists on playing him. He's useless. A message to the committee? He can't possibly think he was a better option than Markovic or Balotell today.

We wouldn't have scored from open play today if the match was still going on now so feck knows why Rodgers thinks the way to change that is to bring on a man who wouldn't score if matches lasted three weeks.

 

I blame the substitution for the two goals. Leicester clearly thought they wouldn't need to sit back and mark Borini. And the positional changes to incorporate him. FFS, should have been Markovic all day long... and if I find out Lallana could have continued I'm gonna go postal...
