Tommy Cockles Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 their tails are up, annoyingly. three wins on the bounce one of them away at the champions in the cup. there will be several goals. It is annoying. that said though they will think they are Champions of the Werld having beaten City, it might make them overconfident. You know what they are like.
_00_deathscar Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Therefore, 5 quid on 0-0 at 11-1. You're mad if you think we'll keep a clean sheet.
dorgie Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 No confidence about this at all. They've got a lot of pace and size up front and will attempt to batter us at set pieces.
Swipe Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Not confident either really. Hopefully that means we'll tank them.
Nebraska Red Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 The big positive for me is that the kick off is at 7.45 am, giving me an extra hour in bed. I hope we can start well and be positive early on.
Captain Carrot Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Today, I will be sat among the season ticket holders in the Milburn Stand. I will be mostly wearing vermilion.
McBain Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 I read that first as being sat mostly among vermin
Barnesy_10 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Yeah I'm not hopeful today.. I think Coutinho will be our key man though.
quibs Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Strange one today, we usually do well at Newcastle but they will be confident. Just hope we get a win. Balotelli to score today.
The_Adder Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 We are s*** but they are s***ter, so hopefully we'll win
Rory Fitzgerald Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Just watched the 4-3 game on BT Sports with the most boring commentator ever doin the comms. You'll know his voice, its so f***ing dull, he did the 2006 Cup Final on the Offical Season review for the club. But at the end of the Newcastle game, he came out with this. "Its hard to stay calm in the commentary box, I'm losing my voice here" - Peter Brackley I've never heard him get genuinely excited about anything.
McBain Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Start Borini, send these c**** home crying. Decent shout. He played alright midweek
Sion Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 We're a lot better than them but we have zero confidence and they just won away at CityHoping for a typical Newcastle performance where they boo the team off.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 f*** knows who can guess the Newcastle team these days but I'll have a stab; Krul Janmaat Taylor Coloccini Dummett Colback (Abeid/Anita) Obertan Sissoko (Gouffran) (Cisse/Perez/Arons/Reviere) Their right - fully expect Janmaat and Obertan to team up on that side. Janmaat is not shy about going forward. Dummett is more defensive on the other side and not as attacking. If Haidara starts instead of him then its a sign Pardew is going for it. Colback will start in midfield with Sissoko just ahead if its 4-2-3-1. Probably Anita will also get the nod. No idea who will start upfront for them. I'd go with Mignolet Johnson Skrtel Lovren Moreno Henderson Gerrard Coutinho Borini Balotelli Sterling I'd like to see a pure 4-3-3 and look to exploit them in wide areas. Size Moreno, Coutinho and Sterling up against their preferred side. Get Coutinho looking to slide Sterling in down the channels if Janmaat is going to provide width. With Sterling & Moreno getting down the left, we'll have 2 strikers in the box as Borini will natually come in to provide support from the opposite side. Balotelli also has a preference like Benteke to drift more left than right due to his penchant for winding shots up when coming inside on his right foot. Might be more space down this side. Get Johnson going down the right instead of Manquillo and build play down that side. Henderson & Borini will provide lots of movement and runs which will help Johnson when on the ball.
fred milne Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 I'd go with this: MignoletManquillo Skrtel Lovren Moreno GerrardHenderson AllenSterlingBorini Balotelli
kop205 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 As if people come on to post that they we will lose - even predicting the score - to s**** like this. Go and f***ing batter them.

Absolutely, the last time I dreaded going to Newcastle was in the early 90's when we were s*** and they had Cole banging them in. Other than that, just dont get done when it comes to desire and we should be able to make our quality count.
