I'm on the committee of a very traditional golf club. A fellow committee member celebrating her birthday tonight invited everybody for a drink after our monthly meeting.

 

She proudly declared '

 

'I share my birthday with Edwina Curry AND Margaret Thatcher'.

 

The 74 year old vice captain, soon to become Captain and figurehead for our Tory Central based club declared

 

'I hope she boils in her own brine'.

 

I have to say, it wasn't what I was expecting!
