Falconhoof Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Nice gesture, though I'm not sure why he wants everyone to know about it. If I was going to be really pedantic about this bit...“I have asked the Jobcentre Plus if they could give the tickets to different jobcentres across the city each week and select people who are unemployed through no fault of their own, are trying hard to find employment and who would enjoy watching a Premier League match.” I'd say, so our taxes are going to pay job centre staff to sift through the people who come in, and sift through them to find the ones that fit naismiths criteria. What does he mean by 'selecting people who are unemployed through no fault of their own, are trying to find employment' how is this measured and why is that any of naismiths business ? Anyway, nice gesture. c***.
The Hitman Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 Or just to Jobcentre staff themselves. "Any tickets this week? No, afraid not."
Billy Dane Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 They'll be used to punish those who are long term unemployed - as if they aren't suffering enough.
Falconhoof Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 To be fair to him, Goodison is the quintessential place to go when your career is up the spout and you've lost your way in life.
