I was a bit 'Danny Murphy' about this if I'm honest. Read Tony Evans book about 83/84 - treble. Read the book about 72/73 - Shankly wins the League again and sets the scene for new dominance. Win. we won.

 

We all know the heartbreak of last season. We all feel some gloom about Luis Suarez going.

I've never met John or Neil or Rob or anyone on the Wrap. Let's say that first. I've read the first three chapters. Melbourne. Celtic. Stoke bloody City. Hardly blue riband events. Hardly the 100 metres. Spurs away was last season's 100 metres. These three games are yer 20km walk.

 

But let me tell you, right?

 

At the end of last season, I was Lazarus. The first three chapters of this book, about a season without a physical silver pot to hold and touch and raise above our heads.

 

The first three chapters of this book have made me rise and moonwalk. This book is Jesus.

Kompany was testing out his knee in front of me during the warm up so I was giving him loads. I still reckon his mistakes in the game were down to me getting in his head.
