This season's realistic expectations

Obviously we all want to take the step up this year and win the title, but what are our realistic expectations. Consolidate the top 4? QF of the CL? A trophy of some sorts?

 

I think a really good run in the CL is very possible this season, and a top 3 finish. The title may be beyond us but who knows

 

Minimum requirement is top 4 obviously, but with your head and not your heart, what can be achieved this season

We can win it, whether we will or not is another thing but realistically we can win the league and I'm not concerned with much else but doing that.

I think the others have strengthened well and also think Utd not being in Europe will see them get into the top 4.

 

If we sign a class CB and/or striker then I don't see why we can't be in the top 2

Vital we are in CL for 2015/16 - massive increase in money from that season onwards.

What's the point then? Was 2001 a struggle, or 2005, in fact all of the Rafa years except the last one? What about last season?

Too early to judge for me. I'm happy with our attacking options, bar the like for like stand in for sturridge, but i really want to see who our defensive reinforcements are. Hopeful of top 4,but expecting a tough cl draw cos of the seedings (it'll be barca without a doubt!)

The bigger squad with a better pool of players should see us do better in the 2 domestic cups.

 

Champions League, I think we can qualify for the knockout phase as long as we don't get a hideous draw.

 

The league, minimum top 4, but we are in with a chance of winning it if we get off to a decent start.

 

As someone else said, we still need 2 or 3 new faces brought in, and we need to get shut of some more of the fringe players.
