charlie clown Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 The boiler in our house is 27 years old and although it works fine and passes its annual inspection, it is not massively efficient. So we're looking at replacing it. Problem is: do we replace it with a regular condenser or a combi? We use a lot of hot water so having the stand alone immersion heater as well as the boiler is really useful. So the options seems to be to replace with a regular boiler and retain the immersion hearer, or rip eveything out and just have a combi instead. I keep hearing that cimnbis are rubbish at supplying a decent aamoutn of hot water but they are cheper to run overall. I would much rather just pay a bit extra and have a decent ready supply of hot water though. Is that the sensible way forward?
