Dreams or reality?

So people are probably aware I'm in Birmingham at the moment - both of us have good jobs, comfortable life etc. But we've always dreamed of moving back up north eventually, most of our friends are there and we'd be closer to family.

 

Around February my wife got offered and turned down a job offer from Leeds and we kinda regretted it in the end. Now she's got an offer from a firm in York. Bit more money & a place we both really like. It seems like the perfect opportunity to go and chase the dream, but we're not deliriously happy - fear of the unknown kicking in I think.

 

So should we settle for lots of travel to see those closest to us or should we take a risk and make the leap north?
