I want to run an audio streamer through some speakers and I'm looking for the most cost effective, but elegant solution. Imagine a similar problem if you had an MP3 player that didn't dock or have bluetooth.

 

I've already got the following bits of kit that could be used to achieve this - speakers from an old Hi-Fi, Bose Sounddock (with knackered power supply which needs replacing) - and I'd appreciate any advice on which of these might be the best solution:

 

FYI - this will all be placed on a very high deep shelf so cables and looks are not particularly an issue.

 

- Streamer to Sounddock with one of these cables. Cost would be the cable and a new power supply.

- Streamer to standalone amp with speakers connected, cost would be the amp (Would something like this work?) and cable

- Some good computer speakers.
