Maldini Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 f***ing disgusting this. The Munich stuff has to stop, it's a stain on our club. Whoever has done this, in this week of all weeks is a c*** of the highest order. http://thescore.thejournal.ie/liam-whelan-bridge-defaced-1414982-Apr2014/
Dublinred4ever Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 It was defaced by a piece of scum ... anyone who does that doesn't deserve to be considered a Liverpool fan.
Molby Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 we need a vigorous response to thislet's see how our new PR department is shaping up I'd be sending over a team of cleaners, at our expense, to clean up the bridge, re-paint it, get some plants etc set up and take the Bohemian lads out for a slap up meal sorry, this is two posts in one 1 dreadful, embarrassing, lamentable business this - absolutely do not need this 2 is our PR dept any good?
Maldini Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 Bohemians fans rallied together and went out and cleaned it earlier.
Molby Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Bohemians fans rallied together and went out and cleaned it earlier. I know but it's just covered up, judging by the photos and in general the bridge looks s*** so we should get it smartened up and give them a few quid to maintain it with flowers and the like
Cobs Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 saw a few mentions on twitter of a City supporters coach being bricked before yesterday's game to - anyone know any more about it?
Gethin Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 On the way in apparently http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/10764428/Manchester-City-fans-shocked-and-shaken-after-alleged-attack-by-Liverpool-supporters.html

Find it odd that it was done by 'people wearing Liverpool shirts'...not your standard scally attire...unless it is just k****ead kids, which it probably is and in which case hopefully there will be a bit of self-policing. All pretty depressing though, especially at a time when we are getting lots of good will from most other clubs.
RP Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 There were a few City fans looking for (or pretending to look for, I'm not quite sure) a bit of a kick off on the way out of the game yesterday - didn't see anything more than a few verbals, but seemed a bit unnecessary from the f*cking manc tw*ts.

Apparently someone on the coach said it was a gang of youths who weren't wearing colours. Doesn't excuse it of course.
Sion Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Sad that it happened but its one or two stupid bellends not even in the same country the club plays in. Don't see how its a stain on our club.
aka Dus Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 There's always one or two. To be honest, I didn't even know there was a bridge named after Liam Whelan in Dublin.
Benzo-13 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 (edited) That's Cabra. Went to school (in Deco's) there and it's all a bit of a mad kip. Edited April 14, 2014 by Benzo-13

Two city fans on twitter who were on the bus have mentioned that it was scallies who weren't wearing kits.
sutty Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 It's been a bit moody round anfield all season No great surprise that there's been some mither when mancs have shown up
Snookie Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 It's been a bit moody round anfield all season No great surprise that there's been some mither when mancs have shown up What do you mean?
dorgie Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 There are a lot of ignorant people in the world, unfortunately.
dorgie Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Man Utd's official Twitter account tweeted a respectful Hillsborough tribute this morning. Some of the responses from their own 'fans' are vile. All clubs have a % of imbeciles attaching themselves to the club, meaning the higher profile clubs have a higher number of said imbeciles, unfortunately.
Swan Red Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I'm moving this to the general football forum. What happened was wrong but I don't know what it's supposed to say about Liverpool fans or how it speaks to our club.

If we are looking at it purely from a PR perspective, I wouldn't be doing anything that draws any further attention to it at all
