This is the fixture I've had a worried eye on for a while. Don't know why.

Play like we have been though and we'll be in business.

They're going to try out-muscle us and keep that ball in the air for Big Andy to get on the end of it. Defensive aerial ability has been a bit suspect this year.

Winning the 2nd ball is key then, with someone like Andy Carroll you aren't going to win many headers so picking up the knock downs he plays for his team mates is going to be crucial.

Sakho should come in for this game, he's better in the air than Agger or Skrtel. Not sure there will be much change in a team thats on such a winning run though.

I would love to see an unlikely scorer on the mark over the rest of the season, a 25 yard belter from Joe Allen, a thumper from the right edge of the box from Johnson, a Lucas humdinger from 20 yards, a wind assisted 95 yarder from Simon, that kind of thing. If they could all come in different games that would be perfect. Hell if Moses and Aspas could score when coming on for the last ten minutes that would probably crown it.

I've got a funny feeling that Charlie Adam is going to score first in a 2-0 win for stoke next weekend against chelsea, can't shake it, everytime I've seen either team over the past 3 weeks the name Charlie Adam, the words chelsea 0 stoke 2, keep popping up.

They have won 4 of their last 5 home games.

Probably much more of a fight than Spurs.

Yeah but the one was the Mancs.

While they are picking the ball out of their own net 5 or 6 times.

they've conceded 11 times in their last 10 league games, seem to be a reasonably tight outfit, 3 against newcastle in mid january, 3 against stoke in mid march, 2 against the mancs a week later, 4 clean sheets, but they have only scored 13 goals in that 10 game stretch also. Haven't kept a clean sheet in their last 5.

It's going to be a hell of a lot tougher than spurs today, think if we are to win it will be a nervy 1-0 or 2-1 job rather than a steamrolling 4-0 victory.

maybe we could meet up and drink on the street, or have a bagel - bagsy smoked salmon and cream cheese in mine, although I'll flounce if there is no lemon or black pepper

On the one hand, I feel that at least one of Downing or Carroll (one league goal between them all season) is bound to score. Can just see Carroll having a good game to show what a mistake it was (even though it wasn't) to sell him. And then on the other hand, I think about how teams we're playing must be scared s***less before they've even got on the pitch. The same sort of fear that the Mancs used to have that would mean they had already basically beaten teams before the match had started....
