A mate of mine of 30+ years has been a regular poster on here for many a year, a big red obviously. I don't want to put specific names in the public domain for obvious reasons of privacy but I hope you see why and get the tone.

 

He and his wife have 2 lovely little girls. They are the Davies family. The eldest daughter is 7 years old and I'm very proud to be her God Father too. She is the most wonderful girl.

 

Last week, she was diagnosed with Leukaemia. She and the family face a really tough road ahead in the coming weeks, months and probably couple of years. There's a good prognosis at the end of it all but the journey will be the most difficult of their lives.

 

They have received great support already from family and friends which lifts their spirits every day.

 

If you feel like posting a brief message of support for a fellow red, his beautiful daughter and family, I know that this would mean a lot coming from the red community.
