I have no idea if he was tapped up. but it seems strange for a 5 month notice period for a member of staff that is down the pecking order so to speak.

He's their international technical director. A few lads on twitter had this in November already suggesting he'd be on gardening leave for a while (was flirting with Man City). He'll be based in NY according to some.

There where whispers that he was going to NY when he left, they're setting up a club over there as a u21/feeder club and he's one of the best around at developing players. Disappointing.

The Bob Crowe post deletion was me and was by request. The original poster wasn't sure he should have been putting out there what he did so I deleted it and the reference to it.

Mainly an FFP dodge - they've "sold" this new club the rights to use the City name and image. For a huge fee, of course.

Probably same with Melbourne. Will I'm sure buy expertise, brand etc from man city. Also, a league to send players to on loan.
