RP Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) Given the official guidance on this today from the Attorney General's office, the moderators of this site will delete any/all Hillsborough discussions as soon as they are seen/brought to our attention. Tempting as it may be to comment over the coming weeks, please don't - the Moderators will err on the side of deleting everything that relates to Hillsborough - the stakes are just too high. Whilst we are keen to ensure that the owners and moderators of the site don't breach these guidelines (by allowing your comments to be posted), it is also vitally important that your comments do not prejudice the inquests in any way - I am sure you will all agree. Please read this Thanks. Edited March 10, 2014 by RP

libero Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Sensible decision really.Yes very sensible. One question tho, what will be the best place to keep abreast of what exactly is going on?I don't buy any newspapers at all anymore and only get my news from t'internet.
aka Dus Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Am sure there will be no shortage of reporting coverage. Hopefully we'll have someone Live Tweeting proceedings?
smithdown Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Tempting as it may be to comment over the coming weeks... Aye, going to be very difficult this. I imagine there'll be a few moments that cry out for a reaction. Understandable though, I think Rawk did the same recently?
RP Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 I think they did so a couple of weeks ago. Agreed it won't be easy - but it's too important an issue for us to take any chances, so any comments will unfortunately have to be deleted straight away. Much easier if everyone can refrain and just not post in the first place.
RP Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 Haha - I'm sure they have legal teams who can sort through the carnage.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 All football matches in England on the weekend of 11th to 14th of April will kick off 7mins later than scheduled as a mark of respect to the Hillsborough victims.
aka Dus Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 (edited) Dus - read the first post please. Edited March 28, 2014 by Nathan Explosion
aka Dus Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Sorry lads, thought it was legit to just repost the IPCC without additional comment. Worth following that account on twitter anyway.
aka Dus Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 FYI, given the restrictions, it might be worth keeping an eye on the Irish press for Inquest updates. The Irish Mirror have been reporting in detail and is available online.
RP Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 As you said yourself, "there will be no shortage of reporting coverage".
lfc4eva99 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Apologies if this is the wrong thread, but just wanted to know if there was a time announced for the celebration of the 96 football match?
Boca Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Apologies if this is the wrong thread, but just wanted to know if there was a time announced for the celebration of the 96 football match? 2pm on 21st of April
NeilJ Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 The reports of the "pen portrait" evidence today have been heartbreaking. RIP, and thoughts with those bereaved.
Ripley Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Michael Nyman has re-worked his composition Memorial as Symphony No. 11: Hillsborough Nyman Hillsborough tribute A newly arranged work by Michael Nyman offered as a memorial to those killed in the Hillsborough tragedy will be performed at the opening weekend of the eighth edition of the Liverpool Biennial. Nyman has created a new version of the work he was recording on the afternoon of the tragedy in April 1989. That was also called Memorial, although most people will recognise it as the distinctive music from Peter Greenaway's film The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. The new version, extensively rewritten and rearranged, is called Symphony Number 11: Hillsborough. It will be performed by the Royal London Philharmonic Orchestra with Liverpool-born mezzo soprano Kathryn Rudge singing the names of the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives. Full piece in link
Nebraska Red Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 The 96 empty seats at Wembley had me and my wife in tears.
