So my two kids are five (girl) and three (boy) now. Neither shows any real inclination towards joining in my manic jumping up and down in front of the TV watching Liverpool (even thought it has largely been joyous jumping up and down this season) or any great interest in football at all. My daughter is very 'girly' and just thinks football is a boys game so I'm not sure she'll ever be into it.

I've not pushed it yet as I kind of wanted them to show an interest themselves - don't want to subject them to something they don't enjoy. So what age did other people's kids get into footy? Am I being too liberal and wasting precious time by resisting, or should I be ramming football down their throats to ensure to more good reds in my household and years of going to the match with them?

Anyone who has been through this process, your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I saw someone bouncing a kid who looked maximum 2 years old up and down in celebration at the match after we scored a few weeks ago, and wondered whether I'm being far too easy going about this.
