Three Arrested For Trying To Rob Kwik Shop With Police Inside

Two men and a teenage girl have been arrested for Saturday morning's attempted robbery of a Lincoln convenience store foiled by two police officers inside the business.

Two masked men entered the Kwik Shop at South 40th and A streets around 3:30 a.m., but fled after spotting the officers. Police say there were cruisers parked outside when the men came in.

The officers chased the suspects south to Washington Street where they got into a car with the girl behind the wheel and drove away. The vehicle was found near Marshall and J streets with the teen inside. The 17-year-old was cited for accessory to a felony and for operating a motor vehicle to avoid a felony arrest. She was released to her parents.

Nineteen-year-old Keith Cocroft and 18-year-old Shaquille Adams were later located and arrested. Cocroft also faces charges for robbing the same Kwik Shop on February 9th. Adams also faces charges as an accessory in the February 9th holdup and for robbing the Kwik Shop near 1st and Dawes in Lincoln on February 16th.
