I was in the club shop in town yesterday, and all the Joe Allen merchandise was reduced and in the tub that said old players. He was with the likes of Joe Cole, Downing and Reina.

It's the safest place to keep it......Everytime it's put out on display it gets damaged.

He's weird Allen, he goes weeks, months even looking bang average and then he'll have a game where he's brilliant. That's not good enough for us though, we need someone that can impose themselves every game and he's just not delivered that. It'll be interesting to see if that improves under Klopp, because although our defence was consistently pretty awful under Brendan, our midfield wasn't much better in may ways, we never really looked solid there, it was all about the forwards.

 

I'd say he's got until the end of the season to really prove himself. I'd have got rid last summer, he's in the last chance saloon.

I think he'll play some part after that performance against Soton. Henderson to play 90?

He is a good player when played in centre mid with a defensive mid in behind him.

He sometimes is. He did that role v Bordeaux and was pretty average.

Id be looking to improve on him but I could understand if we kept him for another season as there are other priorities.

 

We haven't lost a game he's played this season ( 7 starts, 10 in total ) against mostly mid table or weak opposition. It's those games he should play in so we can rest Coutinho or Henderson.
