Dan Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) We're due a win against these lot. I'd go with Mignolet, Flanagan, Skrtel, Agger/Sakho, Cissokho, Gerrard, Henderson, Allen, Sterling, Sturridge, Suarez. Looks like they'll have Wilshere back. Have a feeling we'll get a result if we can get Allen and Agger/Sakho on the pitch. Win this and it gets very interesting at the top. Edited February 4, 2014 by Dan

I'd keep the same front six as we have been playing the last few games, need to win this. Allen challenges Henderson for me, Coutinho to stay where he is. I'm really hoping that Sakho is back. baz2107 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 dont think Sakho or Agger will be back for this one which is unfortunate. Allen for Coutinho.
Swan Red Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I'd really like us to win this, I'd like to make points on the reverse fixtures from the first half of the season, we're currently a point to the good and so far each of our 5 game blocks have returned 10 10 10 9 points, we win this and it's 11 from this 5. This may not be particularly interesting but doing better in the second half of the season pretty much guarantees 4th.
épieur Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 This will be where Arsenal's title challenge crumbles.
surf Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Isn't it on Sunday? that's why i'm glad to see the date & time in the thread subtitle
Clay Davis Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 My a*** is gone for this already. I hate playing this lot, just thinking of the Arshavin game makes me gag. Needs to be an Everton level performance all round.

Gravy Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) We're going to win this and have the country sitting up and realising it's a four horse race and not a three. Win this and we're right in the mix Toure could have a blinder or a mare against his former club though Edited February 4, 2014 by Gravy
johngibo YPC Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Sakho probably starting on the bench then. Sakho has been next game on that site for a month
D.Boon Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Massive game this. i think id start Sturridge in this one.
marty Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 havint beaten them at home in the league since 06/07, has to be the longest run any side has against us...needs fixing that

Dan Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) Sakho has been next game on that site for a month Was 23rd of Feb a few days ago - agree they are a bit hit and miss. I think Rodgers said after WBA that both Agger, Sakho and Johnson back within the next 10 days. Arsenal's performances haven't been great lately. I think we'll beat them if we play to the level we've showed against the majority of teams at Anfield this season. Edited February 4, 2014 by Dan
RP Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Massive game this. i think id start Sturridge in this one. Steady on now.
Hus Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I would drop Phil and play Allen, mainly because we'll need more bodies in midfield to cope with Carzola and Ozil
johngibo YPC Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Was 23rd of Feb a few days ago - agree they are a bit hit and miss. To be fair I think it is a good, useful siteSakho has just been a bit of a mystery
baz2107 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 To be fair I think it is a good, useful siteSakho has just been a bit of a mysteryreally weird, was it Stoke he was meant to be back for originally? thought that was odd 2 weeks after pulling a hammy. But it seems to be dragging now with no real info from club
matlfc Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Massive game this. i think id start Sturridge in this one.
Leo No.8 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) havint beaten them at home in the league since 06/07, has to be the longest run any side has against us...needs fixing that How many times have we been all over them in that time too? You've got Arshavin having that wonder game which f*cked up our title chances, Reina spilling that late one for that total loser who now plays for Palace to equalise. Also the game we battered them in the 1st half, just wouldn't go in then RVP scored a wonder goal. And remember Gerrard being denied a stonewall penalty by Howard f*cking Webb too. They've been really jammy at Anfield for the last few years so we're due some luck against them. Edited February 4, 2014 by Leo No.8

And Xabi's goal in that - remember thinking "this manager bloke has f***ing got us sorted" when that went in, was beautiful move.
