lfc4eva99 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I'm thinking of coming down from India to watch us play against City at home and then attend the Hillsborough memorial service, see us away at Norwich before heading back.. Need help with the tickets, what do you guys recommend?
Cam Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Probably best to email the Ticket Office to see what they could advise.
johngibo YPC Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 HelloYou won't be able to buy a normal home ticket through legitimate means for city at homeHowever they are still selling hospitality tickets for that gamehttps://bookings.liverpoolfc.com/events/events.htm?type=FOOTBALL&competitionType=1&opposition=Liverpool+v+Manchester+City+%28subject+to+change%29&packageAvailability=&startDate=29%2F01%2F2014&endDate=28%2F01%2F2015 The only thing left is 'Liverpool at the Hilton' package, which is also the cheapestYou will pay about £200 each for those, which may sound like a lot, but you might end up having to spend close to that from a tout anyway, and you run the risk of buying fakes There are also ticket plus hotel packages from Thomas Cook, but they are very dearhttps://secure.thomascooksport.com/booking.php?id=9180&m=f if you are coming all the way from India I would pay the £200 each, rather than worry about having to deal with touts You won't get a Norwich away ticket from the club either. They get sold to people who have bought the past seasonYou are more likely to pick up a spare though. Just put a request in the ticket forums of forums like thisAlso keep an eye on sites like https://twitter.com/LFC_Spares You might also consider buying a ticket for the home end. Not as much fun, but at least more guaranteedA little look at the Norwich website shows they are selling single tickets for Man City at home this weekend, so you should get something Oh and make sure you get a ticket for the hillsborough service. They are free but you will need one Good luck
Molby Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 inspired by Gibbo's very helpful response I will add that I could probably get you 2 tickets at face value for Norwich* *subject to all kinds

Cheesecake Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 best of luck mate, out of interest dont you need a plastic card to get in regardless of the ticket type? or does that apply to fan card type things only?
lfc4eva99 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 best of luck mate, out of interest dont you need a plastic card to get in regardless of the ticket type? or does that apply to fan card type things only? not sure mate. I do have an international membership and a fan card with the same.
downunder Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 not sure mate. I do have an international membership and a fan card with the same. International membership doesn't get you ticket options.
lfc4eva99 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 International membership doesn't get you ticket options. Yes, read that. So if I get a ticket from a mate then do I need to have a fan card (other than the one I have already with my International membership) to get into the stadium?
kop205 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Yes, read that. So if I get a ticket from a mate then do I need to have a fan card (other than the one I have already with my International membership) to get into the stadium? :unsure:/> No, but their ticket will probably be a plastic card rather than a paper ticket. It will have been credited in advance to give entry to that game and the seat number is sent out by text so you'll need to get that info from whoever gives you the ticket as (unless it is a season ticket) it won't be on the card. it will have their name on it and you'll just wave it in front of a sensor at the turnstile to get in. Nobody will check that your name matches the card. You'll then just need to meet them afterwards to give them their card back. Hope you have a great trip.

Any recommendations on a place to stay? Ive heard that the premier inn is neat.

Molby Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Still trying to off-load that niece of yours? nah, there seems to be no demand for a young, fit, intelligent (if not brilliantly educated) coke-loving, good-time girl it's as Kurt Cobain put it: "everyone is gay"

quibs Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 maybe but it's only for serious buyers, not time-wastersWhen's the eBay auction
Molby Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 When's the eBay auction ;)/> this isn't for just anyone I'll only consider a candidate of the right quality, so will need cvs included with applications
lfc4eva99 Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 this isn't for just anyone I'll only consider a candidate of the right quality, so will need cvs included with applications Aha. Where should one send those in? Surely a pic should be shown prior to someone applying.
lfc4eva99 Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 Woah.. Can't wait to experience Anfield in April!! Thinking of extending the trip and catch the Chelsea game too, anyone got a spare for that?
