It should always be the aim, but with a squad as thin as ours you may be setting the bar too high and accept that we improve the squad level by level.

I hope the intention is to improve the best 11, which obviously improves the squad as long as we don't sell the first teamer we hope to have replaced. Nothings guaranteed unless you are buying the likes of Juan Mata though but in our case it was the difference in intention between the signings of Sakho and Ilori.
