Not to forget the wonderful goal against Juventus.

Quick thinker (always first on rebounds)

Immense header (had Peter Crouch been anywhere as good, Peter would have been a god).

Great technique (even though he frustrated the hell out of me sometimes)

A warrior (even though he was little as a mosquito, he never shied away if there was trouble)

Great buy who made an instant impact together with Xabi.

All the best, Luis. YNWA.

Seems an od time of year to do that... has got a bad injury or something?

Loved Luis, he drove me mad sometimes but I loved him all the same.

He's been playing in Mexico

f***ing love him..... his goal against Juventus is my favourite.... to beat Buffon from there with that technique was incredible..... I was sat directly in line with it and is one of my favourite goals to date.

He has been playing in Mexico and their season is split into summer and winter seasons.

Norwich away when he nipped in and lobbed the keeper, home supporters giving it the big "HAAAAAAAAA!" when it looped up dead high and then falling silent as it gently drops under the bar.

He has been playing in Mexico

sounds ace that

I remember an amazing header against Leverkusen (I think) as well

Anderlecht wasn't it

30+yards out on the spin with his back to goal v Charlton was a belter.

remember him nearly scoring the goal of the century with a volley in that game

It's mad how high footballers can jump

Can't you jump that high? take a mad run and jump, if you don't hit the same heights as Ronaldo you're not a real man.

and don't get me started on 'hang time'!

The muse for some of my greatest compositions.

Sad to see him go.

You were David to my Bacharach.

That's not a compliment.
