Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) About as good as it could have been with the derby on Tuesday night. Hopefully Everton get Sunday at 4pm EDIT: No, Everton play at 5.30pm on Saturday evening Edited January 7, 2014 by Rory Fitzgerald
charlie clown Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Thats a fair old trek for such an early kick-off
Maldini Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Someone put on twitter earlier that if it's Bournemouth the only train that'll get you there on time is the 05.24
Tommok Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 It's been selected for tv . January 25 , 12:45 kick off Any idea what channel?
Tommy Cockles Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Burton holds 7k & Bournemouth 12k both will be tight for tickets. Hoping for Bournemouth myself, much nicer day out
johngibo YPC Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 About as good as it could have been with the derby on Tuesday night. Not for the fans who have to get there
Eskimo Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Someone put on twitter earlier that if it's Bournemouth the only train that'll get you there on time is the 05.24 Pretty much, journey takes over 5hrs with 2-3 changes to boot... Train system down here is beyond crap.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 not like the footy governing bodies to not think about the fans when making decisions
johngibo YPC Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 not like the footy governing bodies to not think about the fans when making decisions When some of our fans aren't even bothered about the match going support. how can you expect the FA to care?
Nebraska Red Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Pretty much, journey takes over 5hrs with 2-3 changes to boot... Train system down here is beyond crap. Get down the night before and stay in a cozy B&B. I recall doing that many years ago
Eskimo Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Get down the night before and stay in a cozy B&B. I recall doing that many years ago Bit drastic I only live 20 miles away..
Nebraska Red Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Bit drastic I only live 20 miles away..I thought Eskimo's lived in Alaska
David Hodgson Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Get down the night before and stay in a cozy B&B. I recall doing that many years ago That's the civilised thing to do. Always look to be kipping overnight for the perfect away.
surf Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Bit drastic I only live 20 miles away.. i knew trains in the uk were bad, but if that takes 5 hours you might as well walk
RP Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Someone put on twitter earlier that if it's Bournemouth the only train that'll get you there on time is the 05.24 You'd just about make it getting the 0645 to Euston ... far from a great kick-off time but who gives a f*** about matchgoers any more? Who ever did? The clubs don't, they're more interested schmoozing their "official partners" in the Far East ... and the FA never gave a f***. Edited January 9, 2014 by RP
sutty Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 When some of our fans aren't even bothered about the match going support. how can you expect the FA to care? To be fair, I think we're all pretty self involved about this stuff. I want it to be Bournemouth as I have more chance of getting a ticket.
Tommy Cockles Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) 'course if they draw it'll be off and then midweek. Which might be better, or worse. Edited January 9, 2014 by Tommy Cockles
Sion Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 A draw and subsequent postponement would be very helpful considering we have the derby on the Tuesday night
johngibo YPC Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 A draw and subsequent postponement would be very helpful considering we have the derby on the Tuesday night I'm wary of postponements. That's what happened with Burnley!
Murphman Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) I stayed at The Menzies on Bournemouth sea front before Chrimbo, it's a 4 star and cost about £55* for a great room,. It's winter and Bournemouth is a summer resort, it's empty and you can stay overnight for peanuts. *Per room not person Edited January 10, 2014 by Murphman
