Have paid house insurance for 30+ years & never claimed anything. Daughter dropped her one year old IPad Mini on the tiled kitchen floor and the screen is bollixed.

 

Is this something that I can claim for on the house insurance & does it has the effect of increasing my premium? The Insurance documentation runs to many many pages!
