MP3 & ITunes Techno f***ing Madness

Years ago when I was a lad & Murph was in his late 30's, I could go to my local record shop,browse the vinyl and ask for an LP to be played. I went to a booth, popped on the headphones (non wireless) and decide if I should buy The Glitter Band or The Rubettes. LP into a free bag, dander home and hit the stereogram- what a piece of furniture!

 

Nowadays, I can use Spotify, Amazon etc etc to sample these and buying is, even for me, straightforward. So far so good.

 

I go to amazon and select a CD and get an auto rip version MP3 for free but I can't get the fekkers into Itunes. I have to set up an Amazon MP3 player or a google thingy!! I could click & drag for Ireland but no joy.

 

Am I doing something wrong or, is this not technically possible. I know I can rip (do you like my street wise speak) the CD onto the laptop and then drag into itunes but can't get this to work on MP3's.

 

Somebody shoot me.
