Millions of pounds donated to Comic Relief have been invested in funds with shares in tobacco, alcohol and arms firms, BBC Panorama has learned.

The BBC has also seen evidence which suggests Save the Children censored criticism of energy firms, to avoid upsetting corporate partners.

So this is pretty rubbish really but it raises a couple of questions, where is the room for increased funding if donations are being held long term and what are the overheads of raising money through other vehicles for the actual charities that benefit. Where's the transparency? When StC or CR show where previous money went what years money was it?

I'd be boycotting both really and think it's pretty sad just how badly we do charity.
