Gatwick Express - Closure Advice

We are heading over to London on 28th December and were planning to take the Gatwick Express into Victoria then tube it Leicester Square.

 

Just heard Gatwick Express is off over that period for essential repairs. What's the best alternative?

 

PS - Did I mention that I'm the look out for two tickets for Chelsea away on 29th?
