I blame Skrtel in part for the events leading to the goal. He received the ball and had time to pass it. He dithered and then panicked when closed down, doing one of his stupid 180 degree turns before surrendering possession (similar to the one before that suicidal backpass against City). Southampton went on the attack, won the corner, and then scored.

 

He is a liability in a team that wants to play it out from the back and play quick incisive football which is why I expect Rodgers to drop him as soon as he can restore Toure to central defence.
