mooks Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Liverpool have completed three deals on the morning of transfer deadline as Victor Moses joined the club on loan following the permanent signings of defenders Thiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho. Moses, 22, joined Chelsea from Wigan Athletic last summer for £9 million, but despite scoring ten goals in 42 appearances for the Blues last term he has been sent out on loan by new boss Jose Mourinho. "First and foremost, I'm delighted to have made the loan from Chelsea to a big club like Liverpool," the Nigeria international told Liverpool's official website. "The most important thing is for me to be professional about it and I'm here to do a job for the club. "The target is to get into the top four and for the club to compete in the Champions League - and I'm delighted to be here. "The manager has done very well and the formation and players here will help me and I just want to gel in, get to know the players and play with them. "There are a lot of quality players here - they're winning games and creating chances. It's a massive thing for me to be here." Welcome Victor! http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1540743/liverpool-complete-tiago-ilori-mamadou-sakho-victor-moses-signings?cc=5901
Flasher Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Welcome Victor. I have a feeling you're going to be brilliant.
abc Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Very pleased with this signing. Thought he looked really good for Wigan when they were on that run towards the end of 11/12.
DecidedByPoll Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Not sure this forum has been so underwhelmed by a signing. You'll be great Victor. Could've done with you coming off the bench against the Mancs.
stressederic Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Seem to remember him being good in the air for Chelsea as well. Could be an additional threat.
RafaShanks Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Seem to remember him being good in the air for Chelsea as well. Could be an additional threat. Yep. A fair few of his goals for Chelsea last season were with his head.

DecidedByPoll Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 You were here during Hodgson, right?! Think he's a good player. Interested to see how he'll do.Ha, yeah. Thing is we could all see the lesbian owl's signings were dreadful so there was a distinctly negative reaction. Just seemed that with this no one cared either way. He'll surprise a few. Brendan has been banging on about 'hunger' all summer, and he's got players in with something to prove, including Victor. Might even see him behind sturridge before Suarez comes back, especially away from home.
Andy @ Allerton Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Been reading some of the things that have happened to him and the life he's led. Poor, poor lad. Really hope that he has a successful time here and hope that he has a great career and life ahead of him.
David Hodgson Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Not sure this forum has been so underwhelmed by a signing. You'll be great Victor. Could've done with you coming off the bench against the Mancs. I'm whelmed. He's the best of our midfield/attacking signings this summer.
The Hitman Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I'm whelmed. He's the best of our midfield/attacking signings this summer.Whelmed, but not overly so?
Stevie H Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Where will we play him?outside left. he's fast, stocky, direct and when he gets his head up he links well with other forward players. he looked a hell of a prospect at palace, had some really good performances at wigan and rafa benitez liked him in the 3 of his 4-2-3-1 at chelsea. not sure how well suited he is to combining with the random factor that is enrique but guess that's one for the training pitch. i think he'll do a good job for us.
épieur Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I feel moderately whelmed. The fact that no matter how he performs, there is little chance he will be next season makes it hard to be anything but purely pragmatic about it all. But he should be a good addition - The level I expect Sterling to be a year or two from now.

Conrad Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Where will we play him? Bring him in at Swansea for Aspas, move Coutinho central
épieur Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Bring him in at Swansea for Aspas, move Coutinho central I'd start Sterling ahead of Aspas. Shown more than him so far, imo, and should be rewarded with a start. Not in a hurry to start Moses just yet.
schmuckdonald Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I'd start Sterling ahead of Aspas. Shown more than him so far, imo, and should be rewarded with a start. Not in a hurry to start Moses just yet. Absolute b******s.
mooks Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Absolute b******s.I was wondering if epieur had watched the same games the rest of us have
