The kids you grew up with

Anyone still like to keep in touch with them or know what's happening where you grew up ?

Just found out that a lad i went to school with has died in hospital after being assaulted. He was in the hospital for 4 days but police are not connecting his death with the assault .This may sound strange but can be explained by him being the town guinea pig - back in the clubbing days, whenever a knew pill came on the scene, he would take several on a night out and wouldn't be seen for days.

This led to harder drugs and the rest of his life spent as a smack rat. Last time i saw him years ago, he looked like someone had tried to axe his face in half and was forced to use a walking stick for the rest of his life. He won't be missed, as he's been a stain on this Earth for most his life but when i heard about it, i thought about all those that knew him when he was younger and that not one of them will be present at the funeral, if he has one.
