has this not just jinxed the whole pre-season shebang...

Rory starts these.. complete with a breakdown of Preston's tactics and the formation usually employed by the Indonesian lads...

we may as well sign off on pre-season now...

and so before it began, it was done..

If Rory wants to start one, then that's cool.

PNE can confirm that a limited number of tickets are available in the away end for the Club’s pre-season friendly against Liverpool.

The Anfield outfit travel to Preston on Saturday 13th July to take on Simon Grayson’s squad in the opening warm-up game of the 2013/14 season.

The remaining away end tickets are on sale from the Ticket Office, situated in the Sir Tom Finney stand at Deepdale, and will be up for grabs until 6pm on Friday 12th July.

Prices for Reds fans are just £15 for adults, while concessions gain entry for only £5.

*Please note – there will be NO cash turnstiles in operation on the day of this game and fans are urged to buy their tickets in advance if possible

My old man was up at the ticket office today having murder with them cos of what sounds like a fairly horrendous ordeal trying to buy online.

While he was there, 5 different lads came to the windows to buy tickets for Preston only to be told that the tickets had been sent back. The website, of course, was still advertising them as on sale until Friday from Anfield (though it does now say buy from Preston so don't know if it has been changed or if they had just misread).

The preston game is live in the usa on Bein Sport. must have been a late call because it wasn't listed a couple of days ago.

I hope they carry on showing our pre seasons.

that way I can actually watch LFC players and not just read all the b******s about potential targets (turned into real targets) on twitter.

my hopes will rise as the pre season progresses only to be crushed as the season wears on.

hurrah!

The Reds team in full is: Mignolet, Spearing, Agger, Toure, Flanagan, Henderson, Allen, Assaidi, Ibe, Coutinho, Borini.

Subs: Ward, Johnson, Skrtel, Wisdom, Robinson, Lucas, Alberto, Pacheco, Aspas, Sterling, Downing, Kelly.

Jones and Enrique missing

So the two who are fasting, Toure and Assaidi start in 26 degree heat, long wait for a drink
