Have we announced who our home friendly is against yet? I know we've got Gerrard's testimonial at Anfield against Olympiakos but because it's a testimonial you'd think it'll be a mix and match team of old and current reds so probably doesn't really count.

I have my ticket for the premium seats - they went on sale to DHL staff prior to public sale (DHL will be providing most of the sponsorship) and my mate boxed us 4 tickets.

Now, are the TAW lads coming over ?

€60 a ticket for a friendly??

Should be announced this week. I think. I don't really get involved in all that

Absolutely right too Gibbo. You're the 'talent'. You've got an entourage looking after all that s*** ! ;)

Oh yeah. And you thought there was a deep recession in Ireland right?!

In fairness that's just the premium level seats. I think the cheapest is €15. It'll sell out no problem. They probably could've had it in Croke Pk (80k capacity) and it would've sold out there as well.

Ah right. Tempted to go but friendlies are always s****!

Incidentally, my wife works with a celtic fan who said something about tickets on their side only going through supporters clubs as they want to segregate fans. Which surprised me.

At least the DART goes past the Aviva Stadium so we could all jump on and head down to Bray (thats a joke, better not be Bray !)

Yeah, though it's not a Celtic idea. It was the organisers. I think they're trying to generate an atmosphere (not a bad idea imo). Both clubs got over 10k tickets to sell to their fans directly in allocated sections. (I've a mate who works for the IRFU - hence why I know this) What they can't sell are then passed on to the public.

I'm going cos as s**** as friendlies are I like nothing more than a day on the beer in August, followed by an evening Ko and a right sing-song with a load of Celtic fans and ending with (and I can only imagine the condition of some of the audience - yet alone the 'talent'!) a great late nights entertainment courtesy of the TAW boys.

It certainly was but it's still a kip Gibbo!

Completely forgot tickets went on sale this morning, sold out pretty quickly. Balls.

Nah you're still ok.

If you know someone with a Seaon ticket they can buy one directly from the LFC website today (season ticket holders are getting first dibs on LFC's allocation of 10k tickets). If you can't get a season ticket holder then I presume you have a fancard? Tickets go on sale tomorrow am for fancard holders and there'll be plenty available as I cant see the ST's taking that big a chunk out of it.
