I never really listened to their show on 5live so I'm not entirely sure what the fuss was about, however Danny Baker is invariably wrong about everything to do with football on Twitter and Kelly comes across as a jingoistic buffoon on Talksport (his coverage of the CL final included about 5 minutes on what a surprise it was to find out that Germans were quite nice).

still recall a piece on Under The Moon where the bloke tom binns got a massage....was one of the funniest things ever on telly.

Was that the programme where Kelly would wear Ralph Lauren or YSL shirts two sizes too small and with the top button done up ?

I liked Lisa Rodgers on Under The Moon. A little irritating at times but she was cute.

great, been hoping a couple of fat cockneys would break onto the scene to take a sideways look at a load of sh*te

Baker & Kelly were great back in the day, particularly when they weren't doing football-related shows.

But smithdown's point also stands. They weren't so good on their footy stuff, analysis (even 'sideways') & entertainment has moved on, and the game now is crap.

I remember them on radio 1 in the 90s as being some of the funniest radio I've ever listened to, although I haven't tested that memory by listening to them again more recently.

Are they available online anywhere? Think I might listen to a load of these and the Chris Morris shows and relive being in my early 20s, thinking things would only get better and that Liverpool would never go as long as 26 years without winning the league.

It's going to be really happy with itself I fear, the lad era's philosophers winking about benders with Gazza, Chris Evans and Billie Piper. Not sure I'll ever see it though, BT are awful

It sounds about as trite as everything else BT have announced.

I'm half expecting them to bring back Badiel and Skinner and have David Mellor do a phone in.

That's it! It's all a half arsed effort thrown together by executives that seem stuck on what they watched and listened to 20 years ago. They're not really interested in tv, just want to stop bleeding broadband users; would help if they were not so s***.

Is their broadband s**** then? My parents have Sky broadband and as they aren't happy with it anyway, were considering getting BT broadband, and thus getting the TV station for free.

Timbo has got his own football show on BT next season.

Huzzah.

Is he still going to balls up channel four of a sunday morning with his tw*ttylashes mate?

I don't think they will reference those things at all. They are far better broadcasters than that.

Customer Service was. I moved a few months back and didn't want to miss a day of service, so before moving and going overseas for a few days before the move, I made detailed arrangements with BT that turned out to be just them telling me what I wanted to hear to sign up. Things unraveled with the order (times being changed on the order tracker, modem not delivered when requested, infinity unavailable), and they tried to bounce me into an alternative service, delayed by weeks, giving it lots of you wont get a better option, whilst insisting they can only take in bound calls and couldn't ring me to sort their problems out. So I sacked them off for Sky who did it faster and far cheaper in the end and actually proactively call you to sort things out. Annoying as these things can be, Sky actually email you after each call or interaction you have with them, asking you to rate how that person dealt with you, you don't have to go hunting for someone or some place to complain to or to thank, might be a clue in that.

Further than that BT twice took a year's line rental out of my account after insisting my account was closed, and I had to threaten them with court and the FSA to buck them out of their x number of working days to return my money idea. Awful company, different departments have no idea how other ones work, and you the customer have to mediate between them. Like a big utility, they were pretty much gifted a huge customer base and are all about defending that through customer fear and lack of interest in the switching process, they never had to start from scratch and give people a reason to join them and a smooth process to sign up, and it shows in my experience.

Hope so, but getting back the old gang and all that. Kelly still does football, Baker I'm not even sure still likes the game

Yep, he was tweeting about something on TV, or another match when Millwall were playing a few weeks back, seemed odd. I know we can't all watch every Liverpool game, but it's not usually out of choice.
