Yes. Which was when he wrote this document

Wow. Didn't realise he was with us at one point.

Did this appear on an Everton forum? How have they reacted?

That's mad, that document. All for Purslow's eyes I presume.

Evertonians are going for him big time over this badge thing, amongst other things.

So they are hoping this is good ammunition.

And you have to assume so yes

That guy was the press officer wasn't he?

Absolutely mad.

The most concerning thing is most of it is b******s!

Not only a stupid thing to do, but done badly as well.

Well in lads

I like how hes makes out SoS and all those writers mentioned are some sort of terrorist splinter group!

Even worse, he implies Buxton is one of the gang.

Feel sorry for Rafa having to try and keep the team competitive when working in that sort of atmosphere and being belittled and undermined. To think we were on our way to our second Champions league final in three years when those muppets took charge.

Wow. that really is insane stuff. such a mix of insulting, inaccuracy and weird paranoia. Just about stopped short of saying they're all lizards.

"to them, they are fighting for the soul of the football club". big line that.

whole thing is just one of the maddest things i've seen put down in writing. it's a lunch or pub conversation this, not something you put into hard copy and then risk getting leaked. our c*nts are even not very good at being c*nts.

Rafa stood NO chance of staying with that sort of stuff being circulated at board level.

And with one of those board members still around, there's no way he'd return.

Paul Tyrrell only at Everton ‘short-term’

Everton are still on the hunt for a new director of communications after Ian Ross’s departure, with the club confirming that Paul Tyrell will be working on a ‘short-term’ basis at Goodison.

In the meeting notes published on the official website from last month’s fans forum, it was confirmed the club are in the process of recruting for the vacancy.

‘Paul Tyrrell is working with the Club on a short-term basis to help the Senior Executive Management Team on Club and PR related issues.’

Following on from Ross’s departure, head of media and communications Mark Rowan was quick to rebuff any suggestions that Tyrrell’s appointment was a direct result of the leaked emails which cost Leeds United supporter Ross his job.

Rowan said: ‘It’s nothing to do with the emails. He’ll be working on a variety of projects and providing PR support to the chief executive and the PR team.’

Tyrrell started his career at the Liverpool Echo but secured his first major football role when he became head of communications at Manchester City.

In 2008 he left “by mutual consent” after a reported dispute with executive chairman Garry Cook.

After setting up his own PR company specialising in sport and broadcasting, Tyrrell couldn’t resist a return to football when the offer came to head Liverpool’s press department in March 2010. Tyrell left Liverpool in September 2011.
