Yes. I said we should appeal and let him play v Everton then drop the appeal the following day. It would be 8 next season but 1 in LC. It wouls piss Everton off something MASSIVE

prior to the ban we were 2nd in the fair play league to arsenal. united were third and spurs forth. Then some way down was southhampton.

Brendan has said he doesnt want to gain entry to europe this way. Im sure fsg eyes are on the pot of gold of the summer tours.

If by some miracle we are still 2nd or the highest place come the end of the season, id say we enter it as a big fat f*** off to the fa.

I hope next season we sign a collection of b******s and finish bottom of the fairplay league.

Would Suarez be banned for this and therefore it would take some matches off or could he play?

Either way I reckon we enter it for either of those reasons alone.

That was never an option. The appeal would've been for the additional 7 games, not the initial 3.

What do you mean? Is the word Twitter not enough for you? :bleh:

Apparently, the Top 3 leagues in Europe's Fair Play standings get a spot. England are 4th but '....have a month to make it up' - whatever that means.

If England end up in the Top 3 and Arsenal finish Top 5 then we get to go back to action in July.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers admits he's surprised to hear they could qualify for the Europa League through the Fair Play League.

There is the slimmest of chances they could win a Europa League place via UEFA’s Fair Play League as they lie second in the English one behind Arsenal — though Rodgers is only interested in getting there by right.

The Kop boss, whose side are at rock-bottom Reading today, joked: “I’ve honestly never thought of it. Maybe we should get a couple of sendings-off or bookings!

“We want to get in with our performance level and it’s highly unlikely we would get that route. It’s the top three countries and we’re fourth, but it is not something I would be keen on.

“I want to get there through the right means. There’s a pride thing. You want to get in it by performing and through the positions.

“And if we are to have a year where we are not in it, it’s going to give us an opportunity to push on.

“The Europa League was a long journey this year and, don’t get me wrong, we enjoyed it and were disappointed when we came out of it.

“But through the fair play route the competition starts even earlier.

“I’d prefer to be in it by qualifying through the league or winning a trophy.

“If it’s not that way, then we as a club are better suited to re-aligning our focus to domestic cups and the league.”

it was all a cunning plan to get out of the europa qualification.

There would be something sweet about finishing below Everton, but qualifying for Europe whilst they didn't.

I doubt it will happen anyway. Now it's come to pass it'll be us, the refs will book everyone to high heaven.
