jimbolala Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Just read about the payout Kenny got for getting the sack. With that amount he was the highest paid manager in Britain for the year. Has no one else mentioned on here. Crazy money, no one deserves that amount.
muleskinner Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 he had a 3 year contract, pretty standard to get paid up if you get fired.

Crazy Horse Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Didn't I read (here) that he'd declined a pay-out?
Cobs Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 right - so this is the story. he was on £3.5m a year (not remotely the best paid manager in the country) - a 3 year deal and got his contract paid up when they fired him - big deal have a word with yourself, jimbo !
jimbolala Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 It was on the yahoo page yesterday and mentioned that fans complained to the echo because they didn't print the story about him refusing the money. The article claimed they didn't run with the story because it was false.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Its Kenny, he won us our first cup in 6 years and got us to another final 3 months after along with European qualification. We spent £35mln on Andy Carroll. Kenny was cheap.

Billy Dane Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Think Kenny would rather have kept his job than being given £8.5m

RBM Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Why do people get upset by managers insisting on their contracts being paid up when they get sacked? Would those same people pass up their contractual entitlement if they were sacked from their jobs?

Leo No.8 Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Stupidity from FSG this. If Kenny wasn't their man, as it became obvious he wasn't, then why give him a 3 year contract? Kenny would've accepted a rolling one year deal to manage Liverpool.

As probably would have the players. Edited March 21, 2013 by Sion
schmuckdonald Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 This came from a French paper, didn't it? We don't know Kenny would've accepted a one year rolling contract, he's not daft. It's still a pretty substantive wedge he was on.
Cunny Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 You sack managers and coaches and have to pay their contracts off. Who knew?

I think you're wrong personally Kenny loves Liverpool alright but he isn't going to f*** himself out of what he is entitled to. And when he was negotiating that deal he was holding all the cards remember.

Ant Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) That's insane. He should have got £10 Million more. He's a hero. Edited March 21, 2013 by Aunty-N.W.A
