Dule Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Who was it that LIED About MATA and got me all excited????
CaptainXabi Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 It was fun though. Hope we can pull off a Sturridge/Coutinho-esque combo in January.
Cisse Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Very good window for us. Hope we can stay injury free since we look short of options in central midfield, Barry on loan would have been good for us. Priority in January!
Zoob Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Very good window for us. Hope we can stay injury free since we look short of options in central midfield, Barry on loan would have been good for us. Priority in January! Could have been better, could have been worse... We're very well stocked at centre back, although really this is a position you want to keep stable and only change when you have to. As you say, we're weak in terms of defensive midfield cover, and the 20 million plus attacking player we were after. Weird thing is that on paper, does any team in the league have a better pair of forwards than Suarez ad Sturridge? City obviously have more depth, but I'm not even sure if Aguero + any of their other 3 (2 of which are new to the league...) are as good as our two.
Tommy Cockles Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I know some will find it hard to do but enormous credit to FSG & Rodgers for holding onto Suarez. I for one didn't give him a prayer of still being an LFC player today. Suarez is a player we could not possibly have hoped to recruit this summer, therefore to have lost him would have been apocalyptic, and to have kept him is awesome. Fair dues.
