Boca Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 (edited) This would explain his absence and lack of news from the club if true. 5m Paul @paul_grechIt would seem that Doni isn't joining Botafogo but is actually retiring. Story out of Italy is that he has some heart problems... ...and almost died during some tests carried out last summer. Crazy story if true. http://www.calcionews24.com/liverpool-addio-doni-storia-di-una-tragedia-sfiorata-297462.html … Edited February 1, 2013 by Boca
johngibo YPC Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 The gossip in Liverpool for a while now has been that he had a heart murmurApparently he wanted to play, but the club wouldn't risk it Bad PR having a player die on the pitch and all that
honourablegeorge Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Dr Zaf is going to need a better stethoscope
Gomez Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 The gossip in Liverpool for a while now has been that he had a heart murmurApparently he wanted to play, but the club wouldn't risk it Bad PR having a player die on the pitch and all that So this is basically the fall out, we've told him he's not fit to play and want to retire him and get the insurance, he claims he's fine and wants to risk it? Nice for some gossip to come out where we are the good guys.
Hassony Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 So this is basically the fall out who said there was a fall out?
schmuckdonald Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Aren't their murmurs of some legal action taking place?
AE Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Aren't their murmurs of some legal action taking place? Surely we wouldn't have the heart to sue him?
richwilks Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Knowing our luck Doni would have played, f***ed something up, got an ear bashing from Suarez and died on the pitch. The media would brand Suarez a murderer, the police would rightly say that there was no case against Suarez followed by an independent investigation by the FA leading to a 25 year ban reduced to 12 years on appeal.
