The away kit is ugly but who the hell is buying it above the even more hideous 3rd kit?

To sammya it up... you've initially ignored Scarlett Johansson, then turned down Ann Widdecombe to go with Eric Pickles.

Supposedly the home and third kit are selling well, while the away is doing poorly.

If this is true, it may explain why we've been wearing the away more than necessary.

To reinforce how f***ing ugly it is? Public display is what killed its sales in the first place.

This used to do my head in. now i couldnt give a s****. its just basic commercialism used to drive shirt sales and increase future revenues.

It's possibly bugging me more of late because we finally have an ace red kit, and never seem to wear it.

Which is the away kit and which is the 3rd kit? I have no idea.

I don't mind the purpleish one with the white and orange collar. I have no idea what people have against it.

the one that I found weird was Villa (H) - Pepe wore an orange kit.

Can you imagine us playing Blackpool & not changing kit?

That was because Villa were wearing green which would've clashed with Pepe's home kit

I hate this wearing of the wrong kit. We are Liverpool. We play in red. It is part of the whole thing.

Correct. Plus it fecks my dad's tiny brain up, therefore pushing me closer & closer towards patricide. I'm perpetually explaining why away teams don't have to play in the away kits if the colours don't clash; this changes it all.

Away kits, squad numbers, transfer windows, European goals not counting double... arrrggghhhhh.

As some of you may know, I was sat in the directors box next to Ian Rush for the QPR game after telling Clive Owen to get out of my seat...anyway, first thing I said to Rushy was, ' why the f*** are we in black Rushy?' He replied, 'tell me about it,its a joke, but we have to get the away kit sold'

why cant home and away kits be red in different styles/designs? :P

Away kit should always be white with black shorts. Tinker with design, but not those colours.

Third kits should be banned.

'Least of our worries'

I'm saving my disgust for if we ever don't wear red at home. Then its time to storm Fenway.

Otherwise, it doesn't bother me, we need commercial activity to compete. I can live with that.

Yeah. It does my head in on an aesthetic and commercial level. The idiots who make these decisions need to go back to marketing school and discuss the things that actually comprise 'the brand'. Men in iconic red shirts should get a mention. It's what Liverpool's worldwide sport think of when they visualise their team.

On a tv screen no one sees your logo, they see your kit colour. Would coke ever routinely vary their iconic logo ?

The change strip is a necessary evil so that teams colours don't clash. You don't start celebrating that compromise, you just make the best of it.

Agree a thousand times.

third kits are required cos of the likes of Southampton, Sheffield Utd & Sunderland

we've always had some sort of weird b*****d hybrid when playing at Watford too

besides which it's over 30 years since we stuck a Hitachi logo on our kit, not sure we can whinge too much about commercialisation of kits now

You see that works. It still allows variety and is still commercially viable without dicking around with the club's identity.

Is a very fair comment. Its grand being a traditionalist but you do have to move with the times in order to compete.

Wait until we get into the naming rights issue!

Nah I'd rather we go with a yellow away kit with red pinstripes personally

only for when required

White shirts with red trim, black shorts and white socks. Anything else is sacrilege.
