Ant Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Xabi would come back Xabi Alonso has admitted he could return to the Premier League as his ongoing contract talks remain clouded in uncertainty at Real Madrid. The Spain international is under terms at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2014 but his hesitation in committing his future has led to speculation. Liverpool are reported to want to re-sign Alonso some three-and-a-half years after selling him to Real in a £30million deal and it is not yet out of the question. The 31-year-old is rumoured to only want a new rolling 12-month contract with Real but has been offered a two-year deal which has left him in a state of indecision. "I've no idea what will happen," World Cup, Champions League, Primera Liga and European Championship winner Alonso told Spanish media. "I have not decided on my future. I will only stay at Real Madrid if I can offer the same level on the pitch as I can now and we will see what happens in the next few months. "There is always a chance I could go back to the Premier League as I always enjoyed good times there." _______ Imagine if he came back. Scenes like you have never seen before.
John Nada Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Doesn't fit in to the FSG transfer policy, will never happen.
John am Rhein Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Liverpool would never sign a player who served in Franco's death squads. We're catalonian to the core
Tones Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I wouldnt think he would be back here. Think he would be aiming at someone higher and in the champions league.

Jarg Armani Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Imagine the fume if he signed for Rafa haha.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Imagine the fume if he signed for Rafa haha. And ended up 'replacing' Lampard
Ombudsam Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 F*ck! that's where this is going isn't it. They need a defensive playmaker. Why would he come out with this back to england stuff as Rafa gets settled in his new job. F*ck!
Jarg Armani Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 It would put to bed that bullsh*t about Rafa hounding him out the club if he signed for him again wouldn't it. Oh Xabi hates Rafa doesn't he. HATES him.
Rimbeux Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Doesn't fit in to the FSG transfer policy, will never happen. Bellamy would disagree
Swipe Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Rafa won't be there in the summer to sign him. He'll be here to sign him for us...
ali Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 "There is always a chance I could go back to the Premier League as I always enjoyed good times there." he never said that sentence in any of the Spanish interviews after the friendly, Euskadi v Bolivia, he's always said he would return to Real Sociedad before he retired if they would have him. He said he would only extend his contract with Real providing he can maintain the level of performance as now, as he doesn't want to burden the club unnecessarily. The club continue to discuss the extension with his agent, in talks started last month.
Dan Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 He'll be here to sign him for us... Even more doubtful. You mischievous swine!
Swipe Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Even more doubtful. You mischievous swine! I'm a scamp.
Billy Dane Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 He'll stay at Madrid, it all posturing for contract negotiations.
Hassony Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 He'll stay at Madrid, it all posturing for contract negotiations. Madrid have indicated that he won't get a new contract because of his age
Billy Dane Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) Can't find it now, but thought I read today that Madrid had offered him an extension that he didn't want - 2 year deal, whereas he wanted a rolling contract - this doesn't make sense from his point of view tbf, so may well be b******s. A lucrative rolling contract that kicks in on 20 appearances a year is good for him, max flexibility and the highest level
Swipe Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Will depend on Real's new manager too; I reckon this season is Mourinho's last there.
Rimbeux Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Will depend on Real's new manager too; I reckon this season is Mourinho's last there.Be interesting to see if either side can afford the split
Tones Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Rafa won't be there in the summer to sign him. Manager doesnt sign players at Chelsea anyway. Roman does that!
Guatered Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Xabi. The only man at Bayern with the decency not to be oggling the assistant.
