Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) 12th plays 13th this weekend LFC: W3 D0 L2 - Scored 7 Conceded 7 FFC: W1 D1 L3 - Scored 3 Conceded 7 These have been low scoring games at Anfield recently. 1-0 to them last season, 1-0 to us the season before and then two 0-0's in the previous two seasons Given where we are at, I dont think there is much incentive for Fulham to go with 1 in attack, I think they will play 2 upfront which may help us. Berbatov is not going to hunt down our centerbacks or full backs. That said, that midfield 4 if it starts will put a good shift of work in. Schwarzer Riether Hangelaand Hughes Riise Duff Sidwell Baird Richardson Rodellga Berbatov Not sure who we go with after the weekend to be honest. 4 days after this we travel to Stoke so it will be interesting to see if there is an element of 'squad management' in the selection at home this weekend. Sterling and Allen for rests with Wisdom to come back in to allow Johnson to go to LB and perhaps Enrique to come back if fit. Reina Wisdom Skrtel Agger Johnson Gerrard Lucas Sahin Shelvey Suarez Enrique Edited December 16, 2012 by Rory Fitzgerald
CarraLegend Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) Despite yesterday we can still have a cracking December if we wake up, though thats probably unlikely given the last 3 and a half years but still. Let's smash these c****. Martin Jol is fat filth. Edited December 16, 2012 by CarraLegend
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) Fulham are s*** on the road Thats a bit of red-herring recently. Ok, they lost their first 2 games on the road but since then they have done alright. They lost to QPR granted at the weekend, but before that they got a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge, 3-3 draw at the Emirates and lost 1-0 at Stoke (which is no embaressment). Before that they got 2 draws at Reading and Southampton and beat Wigan at their place. It'll be a tough game going on our form, their form on the road and recent games between us at Anfield Edited December 16, 2012 by Rory Fitzgerald

Gunga Din Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 cant wait. havent been so excited to be going to a game since ever. 0-0 or 0-1
stressederic Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Can we just stuff them? Please? Seriously, for just one week could we hammer a team into the f***ing floor?
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 Still, one win is not a good away record. Its not a good away record, but given the teams they have played, they have not been embarressed or run over. They'll make it difficult for us and that is normally good enough to put teams in with a chance of a draw or a win. Our home record reads; W 3D 3L 3 F 10A 10 That also reads as 'Come have a go'
Cisse Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I'd go . ----------Reina-----------Wisdom-Carra-Agg-Glen---Hendo-LL-Sahin----Gerrard-Luis-Enrique

meepins Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I'm hoping to see a different midfield for this one. Allen dropped to the bench for a while due to loss of form and Gerrard moved up wide of Suarez, not only for their ability to link up but also to get Gerrard into goalscoring positions a lot more than he has been. It's an absolute waste having him deep when we are struggling to score. In place of those two; Sahin and Henderson. Sterling to the bench with Enrique left of Suarez if fit. Downing wasn't horrendous last match and there's not really another option so left back again and Johnson can remain at right back where he has been excellent.

Shelvey in CM ahead of Gerrard and either Suso or Assaidi in the wide position. PepeWisdom Skrtel Agger JohnsonShelvey Lucas SahinAssaidi Suarez Enrique Edited December 16, 2012 by DJS
smithdown Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Our home record reads; W 3D 3L 3 F 10A 10 Ffs
RBM Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Ffs Don't worry we've got loads of style points
Davvo Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Don't worry we've got loads of style points If only they were a tie-breaker in place of Goal Difference.
smithdown Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Everyone has got style points. I'm sure even qpr have had spells when they have knocked it about a bit. 3 more games this year. Win them.
DJS Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I couldnt point to any of those three games and say i'm convinced we' ll win.
growler Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 There must be a reason why Rodgers doesn't play Gerrard in the front three despite virtually all of us wanting it. I wish I knew what... I'd go with Wisdom and downing as full backs. Lucas and Hendo with sahin. Front three of Enrique Suarez and Gerrard. We will probably go Glojo skrt aggs downerLucas AllenGerrardShelves Luis sterling
