Have the broad strokes of the logistics been disclosed i.e. 4 groups with a country hosting each group.

2 different countries getting 2 QF's and a SF each.

Final will probably be sold to Qatar to maximise revenues because Europan football has broad appeal.

Would be great if all venues etc. were picked at random

e.g

GROUP A

England

Spain

Austria

Sweden

England vs Spain in Turkey

Austra vs Sweden in Portugal

England vs Austria in Norway

Spain vs Sweden in Romania

England vs Sweden in Italy

Austria vs Spain in Russia

1/4 final draw will then have the venue drawn too:

So it is France vs Portugal and the venue is...........................................................Athens!

No, s*** idea. Don't like this at all.

Infantino said the bidding process for the host cities would start in March and would take a year with decisions made in the spring of 2014.

it's obviously totally cynical, and pretty s*** for the committed fans who'll want to follow their country around. although having said that it is quite sly as you could, and they no doubt will, sell it as bringing international football to more people.

from a totally selfish point of view if it means i get to see some great international teams that much more easily because they are playing in london or manchester or glasgow or wherever, it's not so bad. but then i've only ever been to one off games at tournaments anyway. and i'm not that bothered about seeing one country over another.

I'm not surprised that Uefa wouldn't get that a key selling point of their own product is a tournament held within a defined area to be enjoyed off the pitch as much as on it by hundreds of thousands of visitors. They're only interested in the TV audience, like the rest of football.
