Use SpotFlux - its a proxy type thing that fools the internet into thinking you are in the country of origin for such broadcasts. Works with NetFlix too.

 

Its free and I've found no virus/malware present after using it but as ever use at your own risk... you can enable/disable it as and when you want to use it. I wouldnt expect it to work from a work situation but from a home PC it does the job...

 

edit - and if it 'outs' those overseas fans, then all the better!

It only gives a us IP, so no good for BBC shows!

Yeah, I use Expat Shield, it's good. Unfortunately it seems MOTD is only streamed live and not available afterwards, so I'm still out of luck on that. Though maybe missing Lineker et al is really a blessing.
